Welcome

Project ChildSafe, The Nation's Largest Firearm Safety Education Program

Project ChildSafe reminds gun owners to:

  • Properly store firearms in the home
  • Practice safe firearm storage options in the home
  • Make certain that firearms in the home are not casually accessible to anyone --- especially a child.

Project ChildSafe provides safety kits that include

  • a cable-style gun locking device
  • lock-installment instructions
  • safety booklet

Project ChildSafe encourages gun owners to get a safety kit from participating law enforcement partners in their state. Only law enforcement agencies are eligible to receive safety kits from Project ChildSafe.

Individuals, community groups and businesses interested in promoting the safe and responsible use and storage of firearms are encouraged to partner with a participating law enforcement agency.

If your local law enforcement agency is not involved with the program, you can encourage it to order a supply by contacting us. Project ChildSafe thanks its partners for building safer communities.

Firearm safety is everyone's responsibility.
